Saturday, May 19, Join the Ontario Federation of Labour on our canvass to support Rima Berns-McGown, the Beaches East-York NDP candidate.

We can win this! This was one of the closest elections of 2014. The riding was previously held by NDP candidate Michael Prue. We can take it back with Rima!

Our canvass will focus on key issues affecting young workers and communities like decent work, education, healthcare, and dental care.

Ontario women need a government that will make change that works. That’s why the Ontario Federation of Labour is mobilizing across the province elect a government that will make changes that work for real people — and build a more caring, equal, and prosperous Ontario.

It is vital that women and their allies continue to take an active role in 2018 elections. Together, we will win change that works for Ontario.

Sisters, we are the leaders we have been waiting for. The upcoming Ontario election is critical for working women, our families and our communities. It comes at a time when the political and economic climate for Ontario women has undergone many drastic changes. The mobilization and success of Make It Fair Campaigns for employment law reform and $15 and Fairness raising the minimum wage.  Women's March, #MeToo, #Times Up and #donewaiting created powerful movements that has ignited thousands of activists and new leaders. In 2018, we must turn our work into action leading straight to the ballot box.
